The purpose of this research is the analysis of mathematical structure production cost and supply for wheat. Methodology of this research is based on duality theory. This theory indicates the similarities between the of parameters behavior production and cost functions. In this study, for estimation such as elasticity of production, production
coefficient and return to scale, we chose trans-log cost function, that is a
robust framework to the analysis of production relations instead of
production functions.
In this approach, we can avoid some of restrictions such as homogeneous
production function and nonlinearity of inputs. Fore estimation of inputs
demand, a system of equations and seemingly unrelated regressions are used
instead of single equation estimations that would increase the efficiency of
model. Data on research are obtained summarising information about one hundred
wheat producers in the area of Arasbaran. Coefficient of determination
model is ninety percent and shows goodness of fit. The result of fitting
model, indicates chemical fertilizer with seed and machinery with labor are
complement.
The complementary between labor and machinery, can lead us to
mechanisation policy and the resultant increasing of employment. This could
be given by banking credits, and the efficiency of education, improving rural
education, and promoting specialization and technical advisory for farmers
in increasing labor productivity are rejected. Therefore, the first condition
for the present training services in order to increase efficiency and allocation
inputs and minimising cost of production, indicate that, elasticity factor ratio
labor-fertilizer and seed-machinery services are greater than one. Therefore,
a robust substitution relation will be between them.
Hypothesis of production homothetic, return to scale, unit elasticity of
substitution, Cobb-Douglas Funnction are rejected by likelihood ratio
(Lic.R) test.
