چكيده لاتين :
In th is stn dy, th e numerical simnlations of hyp ersoni c
axisymmetric viscous flows over blunt noses, including
equilibrium gas effects, are performed by using shock fitting
and shock capt ur ing schemes to examine the effects
of shock boundary treatment on the accuracy of computations.
The numerical solution of the thin-layer NavierStokes
(TLNS) eqnations in the nose region is obtained
by using the impli cit non-i terative finit e-difference algorithm
of Beam and Warming and an appropriate formulation
of th e shock boundary condition for th e shock
fit ting procedure, with considering real gas effects, is implemen
ted . The t hermody namic and transport propert
ies of ai r are calculated by using th e simplified curve fit s
develop ed by Srinivasan et. al .. The num erical solutions
of hyper son ic equilibrium flow over a sphere a t Mach
number of 16.89 are performed and t he calc ulations for
t he flowfield and th e shock shape ar e compared with
available numeri cal results. The computations ar e pr esented
for both equilibrium and perfect gas models and
the results of flowfield and shock shape for the shock fitting
and shock capt nr ing pro cedures a re compared with
each ot her. In addit ion, th e role of nnrn eri cal dis sipation
and t he effects of grid size on t he acc uracy of the results
are investigated .
