چكيده لاتين :
In order to study the effects of triiodothyronine (T3), cold and salt on the blood serum proteins level, 360 broiler chicks were divided randomly into 4 equal groups of control, T3, salt and cold and were kept separately under similar feeding, lighting and health conditions. The control chicks were fed with standared diet, group T3 were fed with diet containing 1.7 ppm T3, the salt group received 0.3 gr salt /per 100 ml in drinking water and the cold group was kept under plus 15°C temperature. The blood samples were collected randomly from wing vein of 10 chicks of each group at 45 days of age. The total serum protein level was measured by Biuret method and protein fractions were determined and separated by agarose gel electrophoresis. The statistical analysis showed that albumin level in T3 group and total protein in the salt group compared to the control group significantly decreased and increased respectively (P< 0.05). The mean betaglobulins level in the salt group and alpha globulins in both salt and cold groups compared to the control group significantly decreased and increased respectively (P< 0.05).
It was concluded that blood serum of albumin and alpha globulin in chicks receiving T3 and salt decreased and increased respectively and cold increased alpha globulin, but these factors had no significant effect on albumin to globulin ratio.
