The Comparison of Mental Health of the Parents of the Who are suffering from Cerebral Palsy with the Parents Normal Children.

The goal of the present study was the compare the mental health of the parents of the children are suffering from Cerebral Palsy with the parents of normal children. This study has been conducted at special schools, private and public clinics which are under supervision on of Tehran well-bing organization the subjects in this study were 7 to 12 years old. To choose samples of normal children parents and suffering from cerebral palsy children parentsʹ random cluster sampling method was used. 94 children that suffer from cerebral palsy and 88 normal children were chosen and there parents were investigated.In this study SCL- 90-R questionnaire was used to investigate the mental health of the parents to analysis data multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) and T-test were used and the result were as follow: A) there is a significant deferens between the different obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety and hostility in the parents of the suffering children from Cerebral Palsy and the parents of normal children. B) There is a significant deferens between the different obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety and hostility in the fathers of the suffering children from Cerebral Palsy and the fathers of normal children. C) There is a significant deferens between the different obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility and paranoid in the mothers of the suffering children from Cerebral Palsy and the mothers of normal children. D) There is a no significant deferens between the mental health of the fathers and mothers of the suffering children from Cerebral Palsy.
