Investigation the relationship between symbolic immortality and depression.

The aim of this research is the investigation the relationship between symbolic immortality and depression. Because of this, 229 Sanati Sharif Universityʹs female students were selected by randomized sampling method and compeleted questionnares of research. Used instruments in this research are "Beck Depression Inventory" (BDI-13) and "Sens Symbolic Immortality Scale" (SSIS). Results is indicate significant negative relationship between symbolic immortality and its subscales (Biosocial, Creative, Spiritual, Transcendence and Natural) with depression. In addition, the results of Regression analysis indicate that the subscales of symbolic immortality could predict %57 variance of depression that parts of Biosocial, Creative, Spiritual subscales were more than remaining subscaleʹs.
