The Qurʹanʹs Mystical Aspects

One of the discourses in Islamic deals with finding out different meanings for one word in different verses of the Qurʹan. Among Sufis, Qurʹanic words encompass a wide range of meanings and, they believe, literal interpretation of these terms cannot fully reveal their meanings; hence the widespread popularity of mystical interpretations. This is a kind of inner interpretation, but we may also call it inference. Sufis equal this kind of inner interpretation or inference, which is based intuition, tradition and reason (Taslis-e Marefat or Trinity of Knowledge), with pure Mercy. One of their most prominent methods for getting to this level is scaling Qurʹanic truths against Kitab-e Afagh (The Book of Universe) and Kitab-e anfosi (The Book of Mankind). Thus many of the inferences are a result of this inferential method. This article discusses that the most powerful tool in revoking spiritual experiences which can transfer such revelations from one level to another is mystical language. And the texts relating to such interpretations, their wisdom and the literature relevant to them are the best sources if one intends to be informed about mystical intuitions and revelations.
