The main aim of this paper is a numerical investigation of radial gate water interaction due to earthquake by Eulerian method and identification of effective parameters. The definition of this interaction is identified as action/reaction of gate steel skin plate and reservoir water. So, the structure and water interact to each other during earthquake seismic motion. The major available data in this field obtaind through investigating dam surface interaction and water. In this research, first the common methods employed to calculate hydrodynamic pressure increment during earthquake effects are reviewed, and then different presented numerical methods leading to calculate this pressure change explained. Finally, the proposed Eulerian method developed and used to solve this interaction problem under the limitations of ANSYS software framework. The proposed model results upon the the effects of parameters such as structural damping coefficient, gate stiffness, incompressibility of fluid, and hydrodynamic pressure change by depth are presented.
