A Glance at the National Iranian Central Oil Fields Company.

The National Iranian Central Oil Fields Company is one of the NIOCʹs five main daughter companies established in 1998. The companyʹs mission is to produce oil and gas from 66 reservoirs including 41 gas fields and 25 oil fields where 9 oil fields and 13 gas fields are on stream at the moment and the remaining fields are planned to become operational in coming years. The companyʹs vision includes: * Protecting oil and gas fields under the companyʹs charge * Using advanced technologies to enhance recovery and productivity * Designing, planning and implementing development projects of oil and gas fields * Supervising planning and implementation of the projects by the subsidiary companies * Enforcing HSE standards in sites * Promoting technical knowledge of the personnel The National Iranian Central Oil Fields Companyʹs three subsidiary companies are responsible for oil production while such activities as exploration and development of the fields; well drilling, completion, and maintenance; reservoir management; and planning and implementation of the projects are among the duties of the National Iranian Central Oil Fields Company where smaller and up-to-date inter-organizational structures take the responsibility. In order to materialize the decentralization objectives pursuit by NIOC, production operations are commissioned to the companyʹs three subsidiary companies.
