Nowadays, due to the wid e influ ence ofmass medi a, whic h di stribute the message with
different subjects, vario us struc tures in wide geographi cal area, new cultural situ ation
from and cause trans form ation of socia l behaviors, vision tendency and new outl ook in
the area of public culture.
From this point of view, public cultu re is those type of beh aviors which are gener al in
pu blic and manifest in soc ial life.
Tra ffic beh avior as some part ofpublic cultu re, shows the rote of follo wing or not following
traffi c laws, traffic customs and ess ent ial standa rds among society and vehicles .
Media and communication means, ha ve decisive role to ge ner alize new cu ltu res , new
beha vioral policies and present useful patterns and can cause necessary changes in society.
Mass media presen t educational, public ity messages in one tim e to all the soc iety, with out
time & place lim itati ons. In fact, this can provide coordination among traffi c - relat ed
struc tures.
In order to change traffi c beha vior,At first , it is necessary to ch ange people and authoriti es
outlook tow ard traffi c, so, these changes should be done both in "outlook" and " traffic
publi c culture" .
