The criterion for capability and strength of the library software for covering the needs of the circulation department with emphasis on information management

Each library software consists of several sections each of which proportionate to its specific tasks. But, to what extent the available facilities in library softwareʹs conform to the needs of the users, is the focal point of this paper and its main concentration is on Pars Azarakhsh library software. The objective is to identify the available facilities in the circulation module of this software and to suggest the capabilities for it. In this paper, the criteria for the applicability and strength of the Pars Azarakhsh library software are considered and observed in 5 parts such as overdue notice, change in the borrowing time, reserving the resources, overdue fine as well as settlement and proposals for improving the software to be suitable and proportionate to the needs of librarians have been presented.
