An Investigation on the Relationship between Personality Characteristics and Love with Marital Satisfaction in Married Government Personnel in Ahvaz

This study was to investigate a simple and multiple relationships between personality ch a t acteris tics (neuroticism, extraversion, openness, conscientiousness, and agreeableness) and love (intimacy" passion, and commitment) with marital satisfaction in government p rso n ne l in Ahvaz. In this study, 403 subjects were selected by a random stratified sampling method. For data collection of Neo-Five factors, love and Enriching inventories were used. Results showed that there is negative signigicant correlation between neuroticism and marital satistaction. But there is positive signigicant correlation between personality characteristics (extraversion, openness to c xp e rie ncc , conscientiousness, and agr ec ahlene ss] and marital satisfaction.
