Japan Society for the Promotion of Science

The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science is one of the most important research and scientific organization in Japan, which it was established in 1932. One of its main functions is international scientific cooperation to the advancement of scientific researches in all fields of the natural and social sciences and the humanities. This society by presentation of different programs which has been divided into three sections in the present work, tries to support and encourage a wide spectrum of researchers. These sections include research fellowships, scientific cooperation with other countries and encouragement and support of researchers through prize awardees. The fellowships are included long- and short- term postdoctoral fellowships and summer program for foreign researchers and various fellowships for Japanese young researches. The society tried to develop its cooperation with other research centers and universities around the world via different programs and international scientific meetings. Furthermore, through awarding different prizes such as the international prize for biology, the society tries to encourage creative researches. There are a lot of research activities under management of the society with a big annual budget. Conduction of foreign researchers towards the Japanese researcherʹs scientific goals, support of creative and farsighted research and introducing Japanese culture are the most important obtained results of the society activities
