Research about the political history of the rulers of Hormuz is done because of the importance of these local kings. These kings provide us with a perfect sample of humankindʹs power to overcome a rough and violent nature. A new look into their historical vicissitude may give us an important insight into the future of Iran, the Persian Gulf and their interconnected destinies. For reasons abovementioned, the topic of the Hormuz rulers has instigated much interest within historian and researcher circles. In the recent decades, this topic has attracted many contemporary historians, and many papers have been published in its regard. The present book is a result of the graduate dissertation of its author in Tehran University. This book is the only book written in Iran about the old and new rulers and kings of Hormuz.
