Study on the type of anemia in chronic fascioliasis of cattle

Before sacrificing of animals in slaughter house of city of Ghaemshahr, 275 blood samples plus EDTA were randomly taken from 275 cows. After slaughtering animals according to the presence of adult flukes in bile duct, blood samples from infested animals and 15 non infested animals were selected. At the laboratory hematological parameters of blood samples such as PCV, RBC, hemoglobin concentration and r\ʹtCV, MCH and MCHC were measured. The mean values for PCV, RBC and hemoglobin concentration cf infested cows were lower than non infested ones. Difference between mean values of PCV, RBC and Hb concentration of two groups were highly significant (PO.05).
