Managing and Selecting Project Portfolio with Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP), (Case Study: Iran Construction Investment Cooperation)

The daily need of project based companies to concentrate systems, which enable them to institution the knowledge of project management to evaluate, sort and select the proposed projects of the companies, have always reacived particular attention by managers of such companies. In contrast to the traditional systems, many of organizations and the economies, institutions have increasingly focused their attention on the project based system. In fact, these organization achieve their prolonged aims on the basis of the correct selection of their projects and their effective administration project portfolio is a new management system which performs the task and helps the organizations to select, manage and integrate the projects. As the selection of the portfolio project requires the inclusion of many other criteria such as financial, technical, management and environmental issues, we have used (FA HP) as new tools in ranking the projects of the organization. Our results show that financial and organization coordinate are the most effective criteria in choosing the project portfolio. Finally, an example of using (FAHP) in the series of Iranian construction holding, engaged in building and industrial, was discussed in detail
