The Education of Microeconomics from the Islamic Standpoint: An Introduction to Development of Islamic Economics Education System

The education system of humanities in every country activates in the framework of accepted social norms which cannot ignore them. On the other hand Iran is an Islamic country which administrates according to Jaʹffari Shia Jurisprudence and the constitution has been wrinen accordingly. Therefore the education system in all humanities areas should be constituted with regard to social structure of the country. Economics is not an exception in this regard. Education system of economics in Iran cannot ignore the Islamic teachings. Bearing these points in mind and considering that Islam has special ontology toward the universe and human, the author tries to answer this question that what is the role of Islamic teachings in education system of economic in Iran. Do themes Iike the definition of human in Islam, the economic goals and motives of Muslim, social purposes of Islamic society etc have influence in economics concepts? Why the conventional economics lessons without any kind of amendments have been teaching at Iranian universities. Studying the current situation of microeconomics education system, this article recommends an alternative pattern to teach this lesson in the framework of Islamic considerations. The aim of this pattern is not to describe all the microeconomics topics but to explain main elements which can contribute to teach the lesson. This pattern proves that there is no need to limit the lessons of Islamic economics into few courses but we can expand the discipline to include all the main courses of the economics.
