The use ofMetaphors in Counseling& Psychotherapy:Strategies & Ta

This paper emphasizes the potentiality of metaphors and their application in counseling and psychotherapy. The methodology used in this research is qualitative analysis, mostly based on studies done in recent years. In this article some of the possible therapeutic methods including the study of clientʹs key metaphors as markers of change are introduced. Over all results indicate tbat metaphors may playa decisive role in facilitating change processes in counseling & psychotherapy. The results indicate that therapeutic metaphors can be used as a creative way, so that through their application, clint gets the power of making mental images to achieve insight
