After expressing the reasons for the necessity of a lexicology of hijab, this article goes on to deal with the definition of tabarruj al-jahiliyyat al-ula (the primitive pre-Islamic adorning) as a Qurʹanic phrasing. At first, the writer explains the concept of primitive Jahiliyya with a review of the Arabic poetry, lexicons, and books of interpretation; then goes on to discuss primary Jahiliyya, examining the following two viewpoints: ^. Primitive Jahiliyya is a time period. Y. Primitive Jahiliyya is a culture. In the end, he sets forth his own viewpoint by giving a definition of adorning.
