The Change of Rural-Urban Relations, with Emphasis on Economic Activities. The Case of Rural Settlements of the Central District of Birdjand

with a conclusive view on the basic characteristics of some of theories on rural-urban relations, this article tries to examine the changing processes of one of the essential aspects of these relations, namely flows of economic activities, on a realistic area. The fieldworkʹs results refer to some changes in rent-capitalistic aspects of rural-urban relations, and in the same time, to remaining dominance of the ancient related relations.
