Mutual cooperation between philosophy and principles of jurisprudence in Sayyid Muhammad Baqir Sadr

The relation between sciences, feeding of different sciences upon each other and expansion of human knowledge is a vital issue having an influential and leading role in compilation of history of science and philosophy. The relation between philosophy and principles of jurisprudence as two important intellectual sciences have led to significant intellectual and philosophical trends. Thus to explain the relation between the two is highly important for the future of these two sciences and analyzing their philosophy. Having an analytic approach, the article tries to explain the ideas put fort by Martyr Sayyid Muhammad Baqir Sadr both a scholar of principles of jurisprudence and a contemporary Muslim philosopher. From the viewpoint of Sadr, Islamic philosophy has played a major role in recent developments in principles of jurisprudence especially in its third phase. According to the author, philosophy has influenced principles of jurisprudence in its gaining victory over traditionalism, establishment of the school of Waheed Bahbahani and the emergence of new problems in principles of jurisprudence. On the other hand, principles of jurisprudence have also affected philosophy by positing new epistemological and lingnistic problems.
