چكيده لاتين :
Nowadays, iu most of the countries, stringent regulations are applied to the exhaust gases of diesel engines. One
of the effective ways to meet the regulations is the usage of alternative fuels such as natural gas in diesel engines.
Dual fueling is a useful way to take advantage of natural gas in diesel engines. Three dimeusional modeling at
these engines is important because of considerable effects of flow field (air + gas) on the combustion process and
emission. Therefore in this work, flow field, spray distribution (diesel fuel) and gaseous fuel, combustion process,
pollution and their iuteractions with flow field of direct injection dIesel and dual fuel engines have been studied
by using three dimensional models. The obtained numerical results of combustion and emissions for diesel and
dual fuel engine show a good agreement with the corresponding experimental data in the literature. Therefore, the
complex nature of combustion in dual fuel engines due to the simultaneous combustion ofdiesel and methane fuets
have been cousidered with more details by using this model.
