The relationship dimensions of perfectionism and attachment styles with cluster C inefficient personalities in the high school students

The purpose of the present study was to investigate of relationship dimensions of perfectionism and attachment styles with cluster C inefficient personalities in. the high school students. The research sample consisted 344 the high school students were selected through random sampling method. The subjects completed of Dimentions of Perfectionism Scale, Attachment Styles Scale and Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory. The results showed that perfectionism are related to obsessive (r > 0.21), dependent (r ; 0.19) and avoidant (r ; 0.31) personalities (P < 0.05). The anxious-ambivalent attachment style is related to avoidant personality (r > 0.16, P < 0.05). The avoidant attachment style is related to obsessive personality (r ; 0.15, P ; 0.05). The secure attachment styles is not related to cluster C inefficient personalities. Also, analysis of regression showed that other-oriented perfectionism was the best predictor for dependent personality; self-oriented perfectionism, anxious-ambivalent attachment style and social-oriented perfectionism were the best predictors for avoidant personality; and self-oriented perfectionism and. avoidant attachment style were the best predictors for obsessive personality in the high school students. The results identified that high levels of perfectionism and unsecure attachment styles increases inefficient personalities.
