The Relationship Between Components of Parentsʹ Dyadic Adjustment and Parental Rearing Style with General Health of Children

The purpose of the present research was to study the relationship between components of parentsʹ marital adjustment and parental rearing style with general health of children. To do this, 154 high school students (80 girls and 74 boys) were selected through a random cluster sampling method. Dyadic Adjustment Scale was applied to measure parentsʹ marital adjustment, and Baumrindʹs questionnaire of parental rearing style was used to measure parental rearing style and Sf-36 Health Survey Questionnaire was applied to measure childrenʹs general health. The results of regression and correlation analysis showed that these components had the most significant relation with general health of children; specifically motherʹs dyadic consensus, fatherʹs dyadic cohesion and dyadic satisfaction and fatherʹs rearing style
