چكيده لاتين :
These days, with regard to food and industrial value o f sta rc h, wa stewater containing st arch is one o f the main so urc e of environmental contaminant in deve loping countr ies . In this resear ch , after iso lat ion and identification of an am y la se producing yeast called Cry ptoc occ us aerius wh ich was capable of raw and soluble s ta rch assimilation, s ing le ce ll protein (SCP) product ion with three different culture patt erns was inv estigated in lab ferrnente rs with total volume of 7 I. In the fir st pattern, whi ch was a pure-culture o f C. aerius on raw wheat starc h, final biomass and raw cell pr otein production wa s less than the second pattern of cu lture whi ch was a coculure of C. aerius and S. ce revi siae . In the third cu lture pattem which wa s a modification of the seco nd culture pattern. due to incomplete carbohydrate assimilation hy yeasts, BOD 5 decrease was not eonsid erahle. Fin ally it was proved that with the se cond cul ture pattern. 1\5- 95% of BODS was decreased (compared wi th the in itial wastewater) and biomass with 40 .2% (w/w) raw protein content could be achieved
