The Description and Comparison of Selective Fundamental Motor Skills (Standing Long Jump and Hopping) of Seven-Years Old Boys and Girls in Urmia

The purpose of the present study was [0 consider selective fundamental motor skills (standing long jump and hopping) of seven-year-old males and [emotes in Urmia. The participants were 102 males and 102/emale children in thefirst grade of elementary schools. Data were collected by tape-recording fundamental motor skills from three angles: front. back and side. General characteristics of the skills were considered by clark and Philips method (I 985) for standing longjump and Halverson and Williams (/985) method/or hopping The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and the results }lʹae: In jumping skill no considerable difference was observed between two groups. Bur in hopping skill thefemales were really better than males.
