Quality of life and related factors in the women with HIV in Tehran

The goal of this study was to investigate the quality of life and related indices in women with HIV in Tehran. 112 women with HIV were selected from hospitals and other institutes. Information were collected using MQoL-HIV, religious attitudes, Erichʹs marital satisfaction, GHQ, LES scales and demographic questionnaire. Results showed that 17% of the women had a very low quality of life, 51.8% were low on quality of life, and 31.2% showed moderate quality of life. There are significant relations between quality of life and duration of infection, mental status, environmental stressors, religious beliefs, and marital satisfaction. In addition significant correlations between type of infection and age with quality of life were found.
