Abu Jafar Mohammad Ibn jarir tabari is one of the famous historians in the year 300 AH. Furthermore, He had some writings in relation to the Quranic commentary and other topics. Knowing his style on historiography is very important for discovering the historical facts. This article considers his approach to the history of nations and kings, and also his point of view in relation to the history of the prophetʹs house (on whom be peace). That Tabari has not considered the realities, especially in relation to the virtues of the prophetʹs house, at the time of recording the historical events will be cleared in this article; rather he has tried to alter and conceal some of the historical events. Even that some of his historical sources have been fictitious and unreliable is made clear in this article. That he has written the historical events for the benefit of umayyads, and tried to conceal the virtues of the prophetʹs house and the commander of the Faithful (on whom be peace) are made clear in this article. Therefore, this article is important for discovering these historical realities.
