Suply and Demand assessment and Analysis of Market Management of Total Forest Products Production of Northern Forests During 10 YearsPeriod (1375-1384)

Northern forests of Iran, are known as most important industrial forests wich considered as major pole of wood production in the country. Harvesting of wood is done by governmental organs, cooperative companies and private sector. Different kinds of produced forest products are logs, lumbers, sleepers, poles, charcoal and firewood. In this study, harvesting of wood from northern industrial forests was studied during a 10 year period. The results showed significant statistical differernces between between productions of different products in different areas. Some effective parameters on production volume of different products are market elasticity, concentration condition of forest roads, access to harvesting machinery and equipment, workers skill, type of products, site condition and topograghic situation, available harvestable wood, volume of marked trees, scattering of trees, forestry treatments and the quality of trees. In genereal we can conclude that total production volume in Sari was more than the other areas and Gilan, Noshahar and Golestan areas had less production respectively
