An Investigation on Seismic Parameters and Site Effects Using Accelerograms of the 2005 Dahooye-Zarand Earthquake

The attenuation relation is derived for both vertical and horizontal components. The comparison of regression coefficients reveals that the horizontal component is more sensitive to local site effects. The local site conditions are examined in 27 accelerograph stations triggered during Dahooye- zarand earthquake using HVSR technique. The stations are categorized based on identified dominant frequency. Furthermore, the response spectra were also calculated for the sites classified in each category and their average was compared with the design response spectra suggested by Iranian building code (Code 2800).
