The Civil Law in Iran on Training Children from the Viewpoint of Jurisprudence and Laws by Comparative Study

This paper is an attempt to study the significance of parents in bringing up their children as well as the effect of child on keeping the family alive and stable. It also deals with the conception of child, his training, education, and taking care of him and the manner of his training and education from the view­point of Muslim and non- Muslim scientists, considering the views of the conventions of the childʹs rights in other countries. The legislator in Iran, under Articles 1104 and 1178 in civic law, has pointed out the parentsʹ functions for child training and education. But there is nothing concerning the way of training or whether the training is a right or an obligation, or whether there is any civic retaliational responsibility or not on child training. There is no special law article in this concern. This paper also tends to consider the conception and meaning of education and training according to Islam.
