Naval trading in the Persian Gulf - China over the Middle Ages: A Narration ofa Chinese Observer

The records of trade between Iran and China are streched back to the antiquity. Over the period of antiquity Iran and the emergence of Islam, both tradesmen of the two countries exchanged commercial commodities and promoted them. The present paper attempts to analyze Iran-o China ties over Middle Ages from a Chinese observer. The paper is divided into three parts. The first part shed the light upon the ties between Iran-o China over the antiquity era while exploring these ties during Islamic era in the second part. The third part deals with important issues mainly related to Iran and the Chinese observerʹs valuable reports during the sixth and seventh Islamic centuries. Several reports of this Chinese writer have been translated into Persian which are about Kish, Oman and Basrah.
