A Communicative Analysis of the Holy Kabaʹs Status

Kaba is the most sacred divine sanctuary with its long life span, glittering on top of the existence like a solitaire in the darkness of this mortal world. Some of the most prominent characteristics of this sacred sanctuary are as follows: being on the first site of the residential earth; its legal relationship to the Creator of universe; its antiquity; being rebuilt by the great Prophet of Islam; being the direction of prayer (Qibla) for prophets and saints respected by all nations; the place for manifestation of Divine Unity; the place of revelation; the director of all people; solidifying element for nations; a center of peace and security; a binding factor for the believers all over the world; the center for advent of Islam and the Prophetʹs mission; the place of Imam Aliʹs birth; the place of the Saviors appearance; and the center of holding the political and ritual ceremony of Hajj. With its communicative approach, this paper analyzes the Kabaʹs role and function as the most pivotal centre of communication between members of Islamic nation, and highlights its potential and actual capacities for creating solidarity among Islamic nations as a decisive strategy.
