How do really the guided and the lovers of the Divine Light achieve this rank? What is their main concern in this world? How can one be the lover of the Beloved while living on the earth? The passions and desires are the veils of the heart, banishing human being from understanding the realities of the existence. The Satan ornaments the transient passions and worldly desires, making them the main concern of human beings. But the believers, while they live in this world and enjoy worldly pleasures, do not make these pleasures their main goals. They make use of these to achieve the nearness to God. They make their souls free from the passions, and avoid associating with those loving this world. They remove darkness from their hearts, and make their piety and reason their criterion for discernment of the expediency in their worldly life, thus joining the wayfarers of the love path and the lovers of God.
