Rational Choice in Islamic Doctrines

In this paper, we have investigated the status and elements of rational choice with a sociological approach. The theoretical approach of this study is based on the presupposition that religion has been legislated for human perfection with the centrality of religious obligations. Therefore, the identity of human being has been explored and in accordance with the theory of "human nature", religion has been considered as a coordinating factor for innate faculties and an organizing factor in social interactions; it thus creates an atmosphere which prepares the ground for rational choice in religious matters by presenting an attitude and developing notions.
