The increase of delinquency in various dimensions among the youth and teenagers has attracted the attention of experts in different fields of humanities. In this article, the reasons for emergence of this social problem and the factors leading to it have been reviewed. If we explore the family as the first environment wherein the individual is grown up, some factors can be considered as having effective roles in delinquency of the children; these are: the conflict between the parents, discrimination between the children, inadequacy of affection, fatherʹs default in the family, delinquency of a family member, lack of a suitable behavioral pattern, not fully understanding the children, etc. Besides, some other factors such as economic issues, lack of appropriate training, employment and the issues related to it such as unemployment, vocational discontent, and the weakness in religious belief in this regard are considered here. Finally, some suggestions for preventing juvenile delinquency are presented.
