Principality of Individual or of Society? The Philosophersʹ Challenge

The sociologists have long studied issues on social leanings of human beings, and have been able to make sociology a distinctive scientific discipline by scrutiny on it, heightening its status in such a way that we can claim today having a progressive and civilized society seems difficult without it. The discussions in this filed, so far as they are related to the filed and have been discussed among the sociologists and thinkers, are almost clear-cut; but when the issue is of the intellectual and philosophical bases and takes a strictly rational flavor, it is faced with difficulty and leads to conflicts and arguments. What has been dealt with in this study is essentially the philosophical view in one of the sociological discussions on principality of individual or society or both. In this discussion, some philosophers emphasize the principality of society, and some others try to prove their own beliefs by presenting some reasons.
