Economic Freedoms and Responsibilities of the People from the Islamic Viewpoint

"According to the Islamic viewpoint Man, has been created free from the existential aspect and, from the legislative aspect no one other than God has the right to order him and interfere in his matters". Freedom, in reality, consists of a negating element i.e. not to obey the orders of Associate Professor in Islamic Culture and Thought Research Center. someone other than God; and an affirmative element i.e. to obey Gods orders". As a result obedience of anyone, regarding whom God has commanded obedience, is obligatory too. It is because of this fact that freedom is always accompanied by responsibility. And due to this very reason the scope of peopleʹs Economic Freedom and Responsibilities is ascertained by the Divine Law. In this paper, based on verses of the Holy Quran, Holy traditions [the reported words of the Holy Prophet (SAAW) and His Progeny (AS)] and intellect, through a derivative method, the above mentioned concept of freedom has been proved, and the scope of peopleʹs Economic Freedom and Responsibilities will be explained.
