The general sphere of modern mass media, as the most prominent achievement of the industrialized world and the most influential cultural and communicative technologies, covers all cultural phenomena and elements. The quality and quantity of this relationship and the consequences resulted from it, especially in the realm of interaction between religion and the visual media, have raised some important questions and discussions, leading religious scholars and media researchers to new study arenas. This paper tries to study some part of the meeting points between these two spheres in brief, presenting a picture, though general, of the atmosphere dominating this interaction. The following questions are put forwarded: what are the real interactions between religion and the media? What are the effects of each one on the other? What services they provide for one another? What are the features of a religious medium?
