The article by focusing on Islamic texts, has tried to define the methods of training and nurturing of wise self-builders. To emphasize our point we have researched Islamic texts, especially the manner in which the Holy Qur ʹan has mentioned this important factor in verse 164 of Surah Aal-e Imran. Firstly, the meanings of the words of this verse have been highlighted and then an attempt has been made to present a proper interpretation by browsing through exegeses of the Holy Qurʹan, as well as through literary and Gnostic texts concerning training and nurturing. Thus, in order to reach the status of wisdom, as defined by this verse, it is essential to contemplate on the signs pertaining to the essence and characteristics of God, through deep pondering on the environment and the world of nature (Journey of the Horizons). Constant interaction with the science present in the world of nature and unsparing efforts to understand it, helps develop the spirit of the wise-builder, and this development leads to self-purification. After cleansing and emptying all and everything from the heart, the second stage begins and results in enlightenment, which means the heart of the learner becomes receptive to the unraveling of the book of knowledge present in the world of matter. At this stage the wise self-builder develops proper cognizance of the reality of things, and his knowledge and actions become more prudent and judicious, to the extent that they could be called a reflection of the Great Builder of the universe. He turns into the hand of God, and his works and deeds become God-oriented. In his work he strives to demonstrate his full natural abilities. He considers nature as a sign and the book of knowledge of the All-Wise, and never attempts to interfere in it. He never tries to go against the world of nature but strives to achieve full benefit for himself and for others on the path towards perfection. Thus, perception of the relationship between humans and the world of matter, and utilization of knowledge in the best possible way to create a balance, is called wisdom.
