Divine Qualities in Imamiyeh Theology Semantically Considered

Divine qualities being of the most weight after proving the existence of God, can be studied in two considerations: one generally and the other, particularly. The former also can be regarded ontologically or semantically. This paper has paid attention to Divine qualities semantically, not ontologically. The views of theologians and their interpretations have been semantically studied. The study has included theological views in second and third centuries A. H. classified in pre-Hesham, Heshamid and post-Heshamid periods. In the paper, in order to arrive at semantical constructions of Divine qualities, the views of the mentioned theologians has been studied. Finally the construction of Hesham ibn Hakam has been made clear as the most considerable one; on which the qualities are neither God nor other than God.
