Research was conducted to assess the social skills performance in different social status groups. For this reason 24 classes in 16 elementary schools (third and fifth) and junior high schools (second years) were randomly selected. The sociometric was done on 826 subjects. After analysis of data 288 students in four groups were determined by peers. These social status groups obtained are accepted, average, neglected, and rejected. The "Matson Social Skills Scale" was performed. Data was analyzed by using analysis of variance (MANOVA). We found main effect of group was significant for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 social skills. Accepted children in positive social skills (first social skills) obtained higher scores and rejected children in negative social skills (2, 3, 4, 5 social skills) obtained higher scores. Implications can be used in secondary prevention and interventional, training and treatment planning.
