The aim of present investigation is to study the alignment ratio of reading interests in criminal juveniles of Tehran Correctional and Rehabilitation Center, with the existing sources in the Centerʹs libraries. It is the practical research and the selected ways for data collection are to use the questionnaire of a series of open and close questions to discover the reading interests in the juveniles, and also to observe for data collection from the libraries. The society on study was constituted the Iranian literate criminal boys and girls in Tehran Correctional and Rehabilitation Center and the existing sources of Centerʹs libraries. Due to the limited society of criminal girls, they all were studied. But the criminal boys were studied as structured sampling based upon the current age categories. The results were individually represented in sexuality separation and main class and sub-class of Dewey Decimal Classification.
The findings show that there are many differences between the existing sources in the Center and juvenilesʹ reading interests, but both have the same level in only History and Geography, based on which we can say there is the highest alignment in this class among totally ten classes. After History and Geography, the classes of,social science Sciences and Mathematics, Philosophy and Psychology, Religious books. Technology, Reference books and arthas the highest alignment rate and finally literiture. In the classes of Reference Book ,s Philosophy and Psychology, Social Science ,Technology and the Art. the existing sources were higher than the reading interests of users; in fact,
there are the sources in the mentioned classes in which the users arenʹt interested, and in the classes of Religious books, , Sciences and Mathematics, literiture History and Geography, the interests of users are higher than the existing sources in the libraries.
