An Analysis Management English Serials in the Faculty of Psychology and Education of Tehran University

This study, using a library research method, surveys publications in English in the faculty of Psychology and Education of Tehran University from 1998 up to 2006. Findings show that while the number of students in different majors has increased, the number of publications has decreased. From 1998 up to 2006 faculty received 441 titles, 407 of which (92.3 percent) were in English and 34 (7.7 percent) were in French. The number of faculty and students has increased from 363 in 1381-82 to 1071 in 1385-86 showing a 295 percent growth. Out of 441 publication titles surveyed, 89 titles (20.2 percent) were related to library and information science and 352 (79.8 percent) were on psychology and education.
