Takaful and Importance of Paying More Attention to It in Iran

In the paper at first we explain some useful issues to become more familiar with this kind of insurance. These issues consist of formation of Takaful and its nature. About Formation of Takaful, the opinions of Muslim scholars illustrate about Shariaʹh compliance of conventional insurance are illustrated and says that conventional insurance is not Shariaʹh compliant from the point of view of Tasannon School and that is why Islamic Insurance has been formed. About nature of Takaful, the Islamic perspective of social and private insurance, nature of Islamic Insurance and Islamic contracts that it is based on them will be explained. The models used to operate it and also its current situation in the world will be reviewed briefly. Finally, we explain the situation of Islamic Insurance in Iran and its advantages in comparison with conventional insurance and conclude that according to these advantages we should pay more attention to Islamic Insurance in Iran.
