The relation of shame with the aspects of anger in college students in Tehran.

The relation of shame, anger, aggression and hostility hasbeenthe focus of considerable theoretical discussion, butempiricalfmdinghasbeeninconsistent.Twohundred and seventy undergraduate students of Universities in Tehran have been chosen according to a randomized cluster sampling. The Self-Conscious Affect Test and The Buss -Perry Aggression Questionnaire have been used.Theresultsofsevenhypothesisconsideredbyusing a correlation coefficient and a" t" test indicated that there were a significant relation between shame ,anger ,hostility, and aggression in both sexes, but women showed their anger more verbally than physically comparing to men. There were also a positive significant difference between hostility and all other variables in the studyexceptverbalaggression
