چكيده لاتين :
Water and nitrogen availability are major factors for crop production in Iran. In order to evaluate the effect of different nitrogen fertilizer levels (Urea) and deficit irrigation systems on yield and seed protein percentage of grain sorghum variety of Kimia, an experiment was conducted in research farm of Agriculture Collage at University of Tehran located in Karaj in 2005 growing season. The treatments were arranged as split plots and the data were analyzed based on a complete randomize blocks design with four replications. Deficit irrigation systems were assigned to the main plots (Normal irrigation, Mild deficit irrigation and comparatively severe deficit irrigation) and nitrogen fertilizer levels to the subplots (0, 50, 100, 150 and 200 kg urea fertilizer in hectare). Seed yield, protein and phosphorus percentage of seed were measured the results showed that the effect of deficit irrigation systems were significant. Maximum seed yield was observed in control treatment (DO and the maximum of protein percentage of seed in comparatively sever irrigation treatment (D2) and the maximum of phosphorus percentage of seed in (D3).The effect of different urea fertilizer levels was not significant on seed yield but were significant on protein and phosphorus percentage of seed that the maximum protein percentage was obtain at 150kg/ha urea (S4) and maximum phosphorus percentage was obtain at 50kg/ha urea (S2).The interaction of different deficit irrigation levels and urea fertilizer levels was significant for all of treatments in seed yield, protein and phosphorus percentage of seed.
