The effect of cropping pattern and planter type on yield of Chitti bean in wet and dry planting methods

Cropping pattern and planter type on Chitti bean yield in wetland and dryland method was evaluated. Experiments were done in a factorial experiment based on a randomized complete block design with three replications. ʹAʹ factor included 2 planter types (aj=Jeiran sanat and experiment was conducted at Khomein research station to investigated the effects of a2=Barzegar Hamedan).ʹBʹ factor included 5 cropping patterns (b]=Plain wet planting, b2= wet planting, two rows on a ridge, b3= wet planting, three rows on a ridge, b4=:dry planting, 2 rows on a ridge, bs=dry planting ,3 rows on a ridge). Seed breakage percentage in metering device, standard deviation from planting straight line and depth uniformity factor were measured. Results showed that the effect of planter type on yield and germination percentage was significant (p<0.05). The effect of cropping pattern and it s interactions effects with planter type was not significant. There was significant difference in weed population (no/m2) among cropping patterns treatments. The highest yield was related to aj hi treatment.
