Effect of Mold Material & Pressure on Interfacial Heat Transfer

The accuracy of the simulation of castings is limited by the accuracy of the thermophysical parameters are used in numerical methods. In this regards the casting-mold interfacial heat transfer coefficient is the most important thermophysical parameter. In this study the variation of interfacial heat transfer coefficient with time and the effect of mold material and the pressure on it are investigated and finally two typical curves are recommended for h-t variation in two deferent conditions.
