All parents care about both mind and body of their children. The rational use of leisure time is of crucial significance which necessitates careful planning. This study then is an attempt to investigate the effects of family characteristics on the way the children spend their free time in army owned residential complexes. The findings of the study sustain the fact that there is a positive correlation among the variables such as family income, their educational level, number of the children and the way both parents and children take the advantages of their free time.
