Impacts of Weaponry Noise Pollution on Environment

This study addresses the impacts of noise pollution emanating from military operations and maneuvers specially those of heavy artillery, macro and micro explosions, noise of helicopters and trucks on environment in terms of acoustic, biological and physiological aspects. They are assumed to impose varying effects on man compared to environment to the extent that the latter one is doomed to experience lose of life in various areas. In this study the sound of certain weaponries are displayed on the basis of decibel measures and the impacts of noise from military and non-military weaponries are compared. Peopleʹs attitudes towards the annoyance resulting from the use of military weaponries are investigated. The findings support the fact that these negative effects lead to immigration, hearing ability, reduction in birth rate and some other physiological problems along with frustration and domestication of environment.
